BLESSED

I have been thinking about this post for about a month now.  There have several different circumstances recently that have made me reflect on my life and how truly blessed I am.

A co-workers son had leukemia and has since passed, he was only 3.  Upon hearing that news I definitely looked at having a healthy baby differently.  That same night Jojo was up for hours cry and crying nothing was comforting.  I kept my cool thinking of how many sleepless nights my co-worker has had.  This wasn't permanent.  In the morning my child would be fine.  Everyday I try to make Jojo's life the best it can be.  He is truly an amazing and precious gift.

I am also blessed with an amazing husband.  Although our marriage isn't perfect it is good enough for me. Sure that are things  I would love to change but in the big picture they are in significant.  Jason is a hard working man that makes sure his family is provided for.  What more could I ask for?

My family is beyond great.  There are so many people that love me and try to help no matter what.  For that I am truly grateful.

Friends.  I could say alot about this topic.  Friends come and go but I have some of the best that never leave my side.  Whether I have had a bad or just need to talk to someone. One of my close friends are always there.  There are some friends that have drifted away and I am not sure why.  I want to let all of you know that I love you all.

The biggest blessing for me this past year is Jojo's babysitter.  She is the best ever.  Brittany is kind, caring, and loving.  She takes care of Jojo so I am able to work and help provide him the best life ever.  I have felt comfortable with her from day one.  I can see she loves Jojo as much as I do.  Her family is wonderful too.  Thankful and blessed doesn't come close to tell you how lucky I am to have Britt watch Jojo.  It is a huge relief.

My biggest blessing, of course, is Jojo.  He has changed my life in so many ways.  I have always wanted to be a mom and was lucky enough to become one.  Many people aren't as lucky or have to go through many trials to become a parent.  God blessed my with a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Everyone should take a few moments to reflect on their lives and fine the good and blessings they have in their lives.  We should all try not to take anything for granted for in a moment it can all change.

Better late than never....

As you can tell I have been playing catch up on my posting.  I never did an Easter post so I thought I would just share a few pictures.

We had a very busy day.  We attended and Easter egg hunt at the church, a birthday party and then another Easter egg hunt/ party.  Jojo and I ended the evening coloring eggs.  Which he loved. Looking forward to next year.

14 months

and I wouldn't change it for the world.  I know I am always saying it is the best but it really is.  I love experiencing each stage and watching him grow into a little person.

Jojo is still a mover and a shaker. He doesn't like to be still for very long. We have our climber back and man is he out in full force. Jojo will climb on and in everything and anything. Walking is a thing of the past he is full out running most of the time. We have experienced a few busted lips and boo boos due to his need for speed.

Jojo is saying so many words I probably couldn't list them all. Here are a few new regulars: poop (lovely, right?) tag (for his taggie),all gone, juice, mou mou ( Mickey Mouse). He is finally starting to clap more regularly.  I think it is awesome.  He raises his arms when you ask him how big he is.  Over the weekend he has learned to honk peoples noses.

A few of his favorite things are taggie, Mickey Mouse, being outside, going to the park, reading books, baths, brushing his hair, peek-a-boo, and climbing I'm sure is on his list of favorites.

Jojo is still a great eater.  He loves his fruits and veggies most.  We have introduced him to fish and he is a fan of course.  He has had shrimp and crabs along with a few other types of fish. Hummus sandwiches are a favorite of his for lunch.  We have been working on using utensils and he does a pretty good job but it gets kind of messy.  Jojo also knows where his ears, hair, teeth, nose, and feet are.  Another tooth popped through this month so we are up to 7.  There are more just waiting to come through.

We are blessed to have a such a happy healthy boy.  He brings alot of joy to our lives.  Looking forward to see what new things he accomplishes this month.

A trip to the farm

A couple weeks ago Jason and I took Jojo to a petting farm.  I really like this place.  A few years ago my sister and I took her kids.  They really enjoyed it.  The best part is it like 5 minutes from our house.

It was a beautiful day.  The weather was perfect it was warm with a nice breeze.  Upon arriving we went to the show.  It is short and sweet and tells about a couple of the animals at the farm and where things are located.  They end the show with a pig race.  Each section is to cheer on their assigned pig.  Our pig won.  Jojo checked out the pigs as we started on our way.  He really seemed to like them.

Next up we checked out the zebras, horses, and donkeys.  I love when the zebras are little and their stripes are brown.  We went on a hayride through the fields and that was probably Jojo's favorite part of the day.  He love being on the ride.

After we got him out of the wagon we visited the baby animals.  This is probably where we spent most of our time.  Jojo love the piglets the most.  We checked out the bunnies, piglets, potbelly piglets, Brahma bull, and baby llama.  Daddy was showing Jojo one of the baby bunnies and was excited and squealed and the bunny almost pooed on Daddy.  Jojo laughed and kept saying "poop."  We laughed and laughed.

To finish up Jojo and daddy checked out the turkeys.  Jojo liked being able to walk around with them.  We ventured over to the goat pen where there were quite a few babies and some more on the way.  Jojo wasn't interested in going into to meet them.

My favorite part were the calves.  I loved the little brown one.  For some reason brown cows are my favorite.  When Jojo is a little older he will be able to milk the cow at the farm.

We had a great day and I am looking forward to making this an annual trip.  It will get better every year.
