Who needs toys ......

when you can play in a big box?  We saved the box to Jojo's big boy car seat in hopes he would like to play with it or in it.  Up until the other night he would just pull up on it and walk around it.  As he was sitting on the floor he looked over at the box threw down the toy he was playing with and booked it over to the box.  Then the fun began.  He finally crawled in .......

After playing the box Jojo entertained himself with some of his old clothes.  I'm still not sure why we buy toys when kids find joy in simple things like clothes, paper, remotes, and boxes.  It is certainly fun to watch!

One thing we all should remember and I am reminded of every day It's the simple thingsin life that make us happy!

Today I am thankful for ......

my husband.

We have been together for 13 years.  Sure there are time I would like to knock him out but in reality he is the best ever.  We all have flaws and imperfections and Jason is no different.

He is a good dad, husband and provider.  Sure there are days when I think he makes the wrong decisions and doesn't put his family first.  This is a growing process and it may take awhile.  I am sure things will never be perfect.  No one's life is perfect.

I am thankful for him today and everyday.  Jason has a huge heart and is very caring.  He is always there when someone needs a hand.  Not sure what I would do without him.

So today I would like to say and extra Thanks for Jason.  God has truly blessed me.

I'm thankful for.....

I have seen several of my friend posting on Facebook what they are thankful for this month.  So I thought I would do the same.

I am thankful for Joseph Lee Malone.

Today (and everyday) I am thankful to have been blessed with my beautiful son, Joseph.  There are many people in this world who struggle with infertility and I am very fortunate to not be among those people.  Infertility has always been a scary thing for me.  I have seen my sister-in-law struggle through it and one of my good friends.  In the end they have both been blessed with beautiful children.    Jojo is a miracle like all babies.  I am so thankful he is mine.

The day I found out I was pregnant was a shock to say the least.  I had so many emotions.  Fear, happiness, shock and even sadness.  I'm sure that sounds odd.  First I was fearful.  What I am going to do, how are we going to afford this, was this the right time (is there ever)?  Happiness because I always had the fear of not being able to carry a baby or get pregnant.  Shock because it had finally happened and finally sadness because there are so many people that would love to have kids and can't or have to struggle.

After all those emotions happiness stuck with me.  I had always hoped for a little girl but to be honest something told me we would be having a little boy.  Jason said all along we were too.  Lo and behold he was right.  I love him dearly.  Thank heaven for little boys!

When I first held Jojo it was love at first sight.  He was so tiny.  It was surreal that he was mine all mine.  I look forward to each day with him and the rest of my life.  I hope I can be the best mother to him.  My world revolves around my little buddy.  I can not imagine my life without him.  Seeing him smile when I pick him up from daycare, his little laugh,  his massive hair, cute hands, feet, and face, and everything else about him is what I am grateful for.  I am so grateful to be his mom.  Thank you Lord for the greatest blessing in my life.

8 months!

Times is surely flying by for me since becoming a momma.  I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.  I would however like for my little boy to quit growing so fast.  He turned 8 months old on 10/28.  Its so hard to believe.  He is growing, learning and moving way to much.

His favorite thing to do is pull up and walk around things.  He is certainly becoming a pro at this.  Sometime he even lets go like he can take off walking.  Instead of playing with his toys he would much rather play with remotes, cell phones, boxes, shoes and paper.  Jojo is still eats really well and we haven't found anything he doesn't like.  He seems to really like applesauce.  Jojo has really good hand coordination.  He can transfer thing from hand to hand.  We are also using a sippy cup for juice and water.  He is gotten the hang of that pretty well too.  Still no teeth but when they do appear he will have earned them for sure.

As for our photo shoot for this month I will let the pictures do the talking.......
Almost got him

Loves standing next to the door
And he's off!
So close
Yummy remote
See my horse?

Only way to get a picture, LOL!

Happy Halloween!

This was Jojo's first Halloween.  Although we didn't take Jojo trick-or-treating I still had fun dressing him up in his costumes.  One day last week I took Jojo to a local park and took some pictures of him in his chicken suit.  He didn't seem to mind it at all.  Here is my favorite picture of him in this costume.
On Sunday Bev had us all over for a little trick-or-treat get together.  It was good to see the kids in their costumes.  I wish I would have got a picture of all of them together.  Abby was a butterfly, Jonathan was Tigger, David was a monkey, and Alysa was a lion.  God has certainly blessed our family with cute kids.
My sister also bought Jojo an outfit or costume.  It is a West Virginia Mountaineer.  Jojo looks super cute it that one as well.  Looks like it was made for him.

Monday we didn't do anything since we had a rough night Sunday.  We handed out candy at the house.  When the doorbell would ring I would get Jojo and go to the door he would get super excited.  When the kids walked away he couldn't understand what we had just done.  But we had fun.  He wasn't very cooperative to get a picture of his cute outfit.  It was a black and orange onesie that said Mommy's little pumpkin with gray and black striped pants with a pumpkin on the butt.  What a cutie!  Next year I am sure will be a blast when he is actually able to go trick-or-treating.  Hope everyone had a good time with the kids.  We already know what Jojo's costume will be next year.  He definitely has the hair for it.
