Cereal Time

Although I was terrified to start Jojo on cereal, it went off without a hitch.    I couldn't give it to him fast enough.  I had visions of the biggest messiest experience ever, him hating it and us both being frustrated and aggravated.  So not the case. He loves it.   Jojo is currently getting cereal twice a day.  I am thinking of introducing oatmeal in the next couple days and then a fruit.  If anyone has a suggestion of which fruit and veggie to start I would appreciate it.

4 month appointment

We had a big day Thursday. Jojo came to work with me. I worked a half day and he was really good. He ate, slept, played, and watched me work. I had an appointment and then his appointment.

Jojo's appointment went really well.  He weighed in at 14lbs 12oz(25-50%) and is 26" long(75%).  Doctor said he gets and A++ for his development.  He checked to make sure he could track items, bear some weigh on his legs, hold his head up , and bat at toys.  Jojo passed with flying colors.  We got the go ahead to start cereal and one fruit and one veggie.  At the end of the appointment he received his second round of immunizations.  He took them like a champ only crying for about a minute afterward. He slept the whole way to Finzel.  When we got to town we picked Granny up and went to the Hen House for supper.  What a nice treat after a long day.  We will go back to the doc for a well check on Sept. 6.  That will be his 6 month appointment.  In reality its not that far away.  The saying is so true........."Time stands still for no man. "

Til next time.....

Our lil' Firecracker

We spent the 4th of July weekend back home of course.  It was a weekend full of family and food.  What more could you ask for.  Sunday, July 3rd, we had a picnic with my family.  I love to have these get togethers its the only way form my family to be in one place at the same time.  Its good for my granny to.  She likes to have everyone together too.  She won't be her forever so I try to make the best of her time with us.  Jojo sported his first 4th of July onesie that was a gift from my good friend Tracy.

On July 4th we went to Jason's family picnic.  It was great as usual.  I am blessed to have such great in laws.  We had a nice meal and then left for the long journey home.  We didn't go to see fireworks this year.  I didn't think it was a good idea for Jojo.  Hopefully next year.  Jojo received the most perfect outfit when he was born for the 4th.  Red, white, and blue plaid shorts and read onesie.  He looked really cute if I do say so my self.  I bought the bib he has on.

4 months

Jojo turned 4 months old on Tuesday.  His official stats won't be in  til next week.  We have a doctor appointment on Thursday.  Here is a glimpse at how Jojo is doing

Height and weight-  approximately 24" and 14.5 lbs

Eyes and hair-  both brown like his momma

Clothes- currently wearing 0-3,3,and some 3-6

Eating- like his daddy LOL!  4 oz bottles every 2.5-3 hrs

Movement- all this boy does is move.  He can roll belly to back, kicks his feet, has pretty good hand coordination.

Sleeping- he still doe NOT sleep thru the night.  He does pretty well though.  Goes to bed between 8-830.  Wakes around 230 to eat and then again at 430.  He eats and goes right back to sleep.

Words/sounds- He has recently started "talking"  He squawks like a pterodactyl and make lots of sounds.  Jason took a video the other night of him but it is on his phone that is older than dirt.  Quality is not good.  I have tried to get one with my phone but Jojo is not cooperating.

Loves- to stand, be outside, his lovey, sometime Sophie the giraffe, sitting up, eating his feet and baths.

Hates- getting in the car seat, waiting for his bottle, having his face wiped after bottles, and middle of the night diaper changes.

Our little guy is growing so fast.
